The report shows that China's AI industrial application has made great headway over the past five years, meeting no rival in both size and speed: China's AI software market size reached RMB 23.09 billion in 2020, about 60% of that of the US. From the perspective of the whole market, IDC appreciates that the industrial users are increasingly mature in their understanding of AI's value and the methodology and practice of its application, thus the steady growth of the market size.
Computer Vision Market
The overall growth of the computer vision market was evidently harmed by the COVID-19 epidemic. In 2020, the market size was USD 1.66 billion and the growth rate was only 14.1% based on the data in 2019, far lower than the expectation. Among the computer vision start-up vendors tracked by IDC, only SenseTime and AInnovation have maintained the double-digit growth. No distinction has been made between the cloud service vendors and local deployment vendors, which has not been shown in the market share pie chart this time.
Machine Learning Platform Market: Growth exceeds expectations, the market continues to shuffle
